Blackstock United Cultural Centre (formerly the Blackstock United Church)

3483 Church St
Blackstock, ON L0B1B0

How to get there

On November 7th and 8th we pay our respects to those who have served our country with We Remember, a collection of readings, letters and stories of the Great War.  First-hand accounts and dramatic scenes of life behind the front-line, in the trenches and on the homefront recall a time when the world changed forever in the early 20th century and when the young country of Canada joined the fight of “the war to end all wars”.

The readings are recommended for ages 12 and up. Content may contain verbal accounts of warfare and violence.

Would you like to support Theatre on the Ridge with a donation?
Blackstock United Cultural Centre

The Blackstock Nestleton United Church, a longstanding community hub, closed earlier this year. Theatre on the Ridge wants to transform the property into the Blackstock United Cultural Centre. The creation of the Blackstock United Cultural Centre will see Theatre on the Ridge continue the delivery of its mandate of enriching lives through people, performances, programs and partnerships and by bringing people together across generations, interests and experiences. We are now seeking the community’s support, from donations to major gifts, to realize this transformative opportunity.

Supporting the Blackstock United Cultural Centre, through a large or small donation, is a rare opportunity to preserve a gathering place and create a new cultural space for North Durham. Donations of $500 or greater will be recognized on our donation wall in the main foyer of the centre.

Theatre on the Ridge will issue charitable receipts for amounts of $25 and more. Unless specifically requested to be received earlier, charitable receipts will be issued after December 31, 2026 and January 31, 2027. Please contact us at [email protected] for more information.
